Lake Tahoe 2023 Encounter: The Druggie and the Sex Offender

Published by Joshua Eng on

If a random woman knocks on your lakeside balcony door at close to midnight…how would you react? Our entire group just came back from a trip to the jacuzzi and half of our group was busy showering. The rest of us were just lounging around in our living room half-naked. Seemingly out-of-nowhere, we all heard a knock on our balcony door. Standing there was a blonde, caucasian woman who looked young but horribly aged, so horribly aged that it could give Lindsay Lohan a run for her money. I expected this to be a noise-complaint of some sort, but as soon as one of my friends opened the balcony door, she just waltzed right in as if she owned the place. As someone who watches way too many crime documentaries, I immediately had the  instinct to grab a knife and prepare for a fight. That was fortunately not the case. She claimed to be lost…and drunk out of her mind. None of us smelled alcohol in her breath, so we suspected she was on something. This woman is probably a druggie, which is probably where my Lindsay Lohan comparison came from.

This random druggie was asking us if we can help her get back to her place claiming it was the Mountain hotel 2 miles away from here. My next instinct was to grab my friend Connor, not just because he can drive her home, but because he loves guns and I know if anything fishy were to go down, I could trust him to shoot without hesitation. After getting some details, Connor and my other friend Sean drove the woman back to the Mountain Hotel. While the rest of us did not accompany them, we received regular text updates as to what was going on.

No surprise here, but the druggie was a little crazy. She spent a majority of the trip shouting at Siri and uttering the N word (with a hard R) over and over again. It really didn’t help when they arrived at the Mountain Hotel. Guess what? She had no reservation at the hotel, there was no room under her name or anyone she knew. My two friends has to eventually ask if they can look through he text history to find clues. Turns out, she was staying at a hotel right next to our vacation home….

According to my two friends, she said farewell to both of them by giving them kisses on the cheek without their consent. So if we felt like it, we could create a sexual assault case out of this. My friend Connor, being the gentleman he is, made sure she got back safe to her room. When her boyfriend opened the door, Connor was in for a bit of a surprise…as the boyfriend has a giant ankle bracelet that can be seen. We were able to get the boyfriends name who I will not share on this blog just in case he reads it. Thanks to some internet sleuthing from me, we were able to find out that this man was a convicted rapist and stalker.

You know, I suddenly feel bad for that Lindsay Lohan comparison…at least she’s not dating a rapist right now.

The night ended with all of us safe and sound, if not a little spooked by the whole encounter.

Reflections of the day:

Lindsay Lohan isn’t that bad after all, I really hope she can make a comeback.

If you ever rent a vacation home, close your curtains when it’s night time, even if the lakeside view is beautiful.

Don’t open the balcony door that wide for any strangers.
