Daly City

Continuing on my last post, after my half-marathon, it was time for my Bday week to begin. I originally anticipated it to be a stressful week due to work…but I guess thanks to lay-offs, I could enjoy that week in peace. It was honestly pretty uneventful as my aunt, uncle had work and my little cousin Zoe had school. But that extra time gave me the room to finally get this blog finished and going, so I guess that worked out.

My aunt ended up kinda “surprising” me with a chocolate lava cake and a cheesecake.  I say surprise in quotes because I knew it was coming, it just came a day earlier than expected. Even though it was an uneventful stay, I did appreciate the clam and quiet away from work and life. I got to spend time with my family, eat out, drinking boba and get dessert. As someone who has a near-high cholesterol level, this may not have been a good thing for me, but as someone who just wants to live and have fun, it was time well spent.

Why does the child look like she’s being held hostage in the photo?
